About the Founder - Don Sallot

Over 20 years of experience in Enterprise Wide Information Architecture design, planning and implementation. Specifically, I have a stellar reputation as Senior Data Architect / Data Strategist Data Warehouse Architect / Information Architect / Designer and Developer. My diverse experience also includes data dictionary and metadata design and implementation, global disparate data / information integration, pre and post sales support, customer relationship management, project planning and execution, business analysis, requirements analysis, data analysis, system development life cycle (SDLC), data modeling (relational and dimensional), physical database design, data acquisition and data integration.

Designed, developed and implemented 5+ full lifecycle data warehouse / business intelligence environments from scratch utilizing the Kimball, Inmon and the Corporate Information Factory methodologies within various database platforms. My most recent experience includes working in the area of architecting test item development / delivery and item alignment solutions to standards, benchmarks and instructional resources.

Have authored numerous technical resources including the Cognos 8.2 Developer’s Handbook (2008), Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Architecture Design eCourse (2009), and Data Warehouse Developer’s Handbook (2009).

Extensive experience in MDM design and implementation for a variety of clients including, Mattel, Jenny-O Turkey Store, Hormel and Hallmark integrating a multitude of source systems such as DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Access, Spreadsheets etc. I am experienced in Retail, Manufacturing, Financial, Government, Distribution, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Domains and is a Certified Hacking Forensics Investigator (CHFI ) by EC-Council
